Wrong Move
Been awhile my blogging friends. A lot has happened in the last 1/2 month since I last spoke to you. As some of you know about two months ago I went and left my wonderful produce department to try the meat department. I thought that, with the job being easier, things would be better. I WAS WRONG!!!! First off, I find that most of my fellow employees don't like me at all and are spreading nasty rumors that I'm lazy and I never do my work. What's worse is that my boss believes them. Of but wait kiddies I ain't done yet. I put a request-off form up in the meat backroom for Bob (or Asshole which ever you prefer) to see. I requested the 10th (Speech Meet I'm a judge for) the 24th (obvious reasons) and the 28th-2nd (for Mickey's trip back here). Well long story short, he didn't even bother with it!!! When I asked him about it he said he'd get around to it. I took it to personnel Tuesday because he wouldn't do anything about it. Yesterday he accused me of adding days to it and when I told him I didn't he said that I was lying about it. He also said that I probably won't get the 28th-2nd off!!!!! I'm SO FUCKING PISSED. That is where I draw my line. The time I get to spend with Mickey is more important to me then anything else (Why? Cuz he's like family to me)
So I now turn to you my friends. I am in need of your advice. Should I
A.) Quit and try to find another job (or vice-versa)
B.) Stick it out and try to find another way to get those days off (If you know a way let me know)

You should try to change back over to produce before those days and maybe you will be able to get em off, or you could try to get personnel to just not schedule you that day, and if all else fails...WAL~MART SUCKS, find a better job, cause anything is better
if u can't transfer to produce, talk to your boss calmy and politely and explain that it is very important to you that you can visit Mickey and that you think that it's unfair that he treats you like the rumors are true, without any actual basis on it. if he flips out, then quit walmart and go somewhere else. you don't need to tolerate that bullshit.
If nothing else, I know White Castle is always hiring. Lol. Seriously though, try to have a reasoned discussion with him. Find out what people are saying and try and see if you can see where these things might be believable. Assuming (as I do) that these claims are false, explain your situation. If he asks for specifics about why you need days off, dont explain exactly why. Sometimes, it really is ok to lie a little. Of course if all else fails, Wallyworld is a shithole so finding any other job is a step up.
I agree with alot of the other comments, you should definitely sit down with your boss and explain what has been going on about the rumors and how you feel he should say something to the other employees. Then, bring up the topic on how you would like days off and explain to him why you would like to have these days of, but make sure you explain them in very kind, precise but also in a damanding sort of way (thats what i would do), make sure he knows that you are not willing to just let this go (also look him in the eyes, that always works). And along with the german-switch back over to produce anyways just to get away from those scumbags. Good Luck!
Well, your situation is a bummer. I also would agree with the other commentors--try to talk to your boss but if that doesn't work, find another job. If you do decide to quit, I might suggest that you put in your two weeks on the thirteenth so that you'll be free for the weekend with Mickey and you won't have to ask off at your new job (should you find one).
